August 2017
The August 26th special election votes are in and the voters approved a $700,000 in capital funds to purchase new engine to replace the previous
engine #3 that is no longer functioning.  The new truck committee is actively designing the new engine, expected to be lease purchased and
completed over the next 18 months.


July 2017

Be sure to come out an vote on our special election on a new Engine to replace Engine 243.  Repairs on Engine 243 are too great and we are asking
for the Kingston South Brunswick residents to vote YES to not to exceed spending $700,000 by financing a new engine.  Polls are open from 2PM to
9PM, Saturday, August 26th, 2017

March 2017

Congratulations to Norman Luck and Chris Ciabattone for being voted in for another term.  In addition, the voters have voted to approve the 2017
Budget.

Dec 2016

Members of the new Truck Committee members traveled to the Spartan Factory to for the Final Inspection of the new engine due to arrive the last
week of December.

Congratulations to the 2017 Fire Department Line Officers and Executive committee.  We are looking forward to another productive year.
October 2016

The District and Kingston Vol Fire Department are expecting our new custom built engine this year to replace Engine 245.  

The Board of District #3 is anticipating we will need one new commissioner in 2018.  If you live in District #3 and would like to make a difference in
your town as it relates to Fire Prevention, please complete the a petition to be placed in the February Ballot.  Petition must be completed, notarized

March 2016

here for the petition form..June, 2015: The District has been working with
the Kingston Vol Fire Department to build the specifications for the new Engine.  The engine will be a Spartan 4 Pumper with a 450 HP motor and a
750 gallon tank and 2000 GPM pump.  The board resolved to purchase the engine leveraging the Houston Gavleston Cooperative Program.  For
more information, go to https://www.hgacbuy.org/  The board will be contracting with Campbell Supply Company located in South Brunswick.

Feb 2015:
SB Fire District #3 residents have voted to adopt the 2015 Budget for the amount of $474,234 in Operating and $750,000 in Capital towards the
purchase of a new Fire truck.  Please congratulate to our returning Commissioner Agostino Racanati and Jane Eisenmann.
Franklin District #4 residents have voted to adopt the 2015 Budget for the amount of $44,657.  Please congratulate the returning Commissioners
Meredith Rodgers and Ernst DeHaas, and new Commissioner Catherine Foersh Pavelec.

Nov 2014:  Another busy month for the district.  
1.  We completed the purchase of a 2014 Chevy Tahoe that will become the new Chief's vehicle once the lights, radio, mounts, etc are installed.  This
will allow us replace the current 2000 Ford Expedition Deputy vehicle, with the current 2009 Chief's car.
2. We have replaced the lights on Engine 244 with the more efficient and brighter LED lights  This will reduce the load of the engine's alternator and
increase longevity of the electrical system. 2015.
4.  We also had the current chief's vehicle hood and lift gate repainted due to rust found beneath the paint.
5.  Finally, we revised our mobile phone plans, and have over $100 a month savings of tax payer funds.

In accordance to NFPA standards, the District replaced the following hoses:
  • 2300 ft of 1.75 inch
  • 820 ft of 2.5 inch
  • 500 ft of 5 inch
  • 1500 ft of 3 inch
As well as completion of our annual hose testing

Mar, 2014: Congratulations to the newly appointed positions to the SB Fire District #3 Board.
Agostino Racanati is now the Chairman, Chris Ciabattone is the Vice Chairman.  Special thanks to Brad Radimer for his length of service for the past

February, 2014
Feb, 2014: SB Fire District #3 residence have voted to adopt the 2014 Budget for the amount of $343,700.  Additionally, the voters approved the
District's capital project of the purchase of a new fire truck for the amount not to exceed $750,000.  Please congratulate to our returning
Commissioner Norman Luck Sr. and our new Commissioner, Chris Ciabattone.  They will be sworn in at the March, 2014 meeting.
Franklin Fire District $4 residence have voted to adopt the 2014 Budget for the amount of $38,161.   Please congratulate our new Commissioners,
David Nowakowski and George Luck Jr.

December 2013  
Another year has gone past and we've been able to support the Kingston Village and mutual aid to neighboring towns.  We were happy to provide
funding and additional services to the Kingston Vol Fire Department. This year we've continued to provide support by- maintaining staff during the
daytime hours
- retirement funding for ourVolunteers including (LOSAP)
- auto insurance for department vehicles
- maintenance of equipment (trucks, radios, turnout gear,equipment, etc)
- bench testing of hoses, ladders and Scott packs
- firematic training of our Volunteers
- cell phones and service for our Chief, Deputy Chief andvehicles
In addition, we have purchased items in support of firematics:
- 4 Toshiba Toughbooks and mounting systems.
- replacement Radio batteries
- replacement batteries for our Lifeline AED systems
- new Scott masks
- new GPS units
In return we like to thank our Kingston Vol. Fire Department and Officers for providing quality fire service for our
communities.
